GHNY Law Obtains Dismissal of Multiple 3020-a Specifications Against Tenured Employee

Glass & Hogrogian LLP was able to secure the dismissal of several charges brought by the New York City Department of Education against a tenured employee. While a hearing is still set to proceed at a later date, three full specifications—along with portions of another specification— may no longer be used by the Department in its effort to terminate our client.

Our strategy involved raising strong arguments that the charges, as written, failed to comply with the requirements outlined in New York State's Education Law. Although not yet a complete victory, narrowing the scope of the case at this stage allows us to focus our strategy on the remaining allegations and continue fighting for our client.

At Glass and Hogrogian LLP, we remain dedicated to our mission of advocating for employees, providing them with the guidance they need throughout every stage of their employment, and fighting for them should litigation be necessary.
